FULL DEVELOPMENT COURSE
This 5-day program has been carefully designed to encourage students to reach their potential quickly. Mendoza Academy frequently has students visit us to improve their professional barbering and hairdressing skills. With one to one sessions, our full development course is set to provide you with the right knowledge and experience to build you into a competent barber ready for the salon floor after 5 days of intensive training.
SESSION 1 - FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES
This is our most popular course that combines demonstration, consultation and step by step instructed practical sessions. All-encompassing, this first day will give the learner an insight into the fundamental teachings at Mendoza Academy to help build confidence all around.
SESSION 2 - FUNDAMENTAL OF LAYERING
In this course, you will learn about the three fundamental shapes in men’s hairdressing.
We encourage visual and technical understanding, followed by diagram training on provided head sheets.
SESSION 3 - FUNDAMENTAL OF GRADUATION
Students will be learning how to approach graduation, build weight and understand connectivity through the use of scissors.
SESSION 4 & 5 - FADE MASTER
This course has been designed for those who want to up their game on the fade market increasing their skills and confidence. We run a busy successful barber shop at the academy and we can help you do the same. Spend 2 days with our prestigious educators and let us help you reach your goal. Small student ratio – 5 max. Certificate on completion. All our courses are accredited. Places are limited so prompt booking advice. Minimum level 2 qualification or 1-year industry experience.
SESSION 6 - SCISSORS DEVELOPMENT
Perfect for you to gain control and direction of scissor cutting. During demonstrations, you will see live models showcasing a range of skills from scissor work, sectioning patterns, texturising and styling the latest in men’s hair trends. This course is ideal for anyone as it covers all ages and levels of experience. The fundamentals course will give the learner an insight into building core masculine shapes using the key elements of our cutting philosophy. Structure, balance and precision.
